To remove the background from an image, simply convert the document to PNG format with a transparent background (or with an alpha channel). With PNG format, the image will display correctly and print optimally.
In this example, we're converting this JPG image with a white background into a PNG image with a transparent background. To do this, we need to remove the white background.
Here you can see the process of converting a JPEG file to a PNG file using Adobe Photoshop.
1. Open your JPG file with Photoshop.
2. In the menu, select: Layer / New / Background from Layer (Layer 0)
3. In the Layers control panel, create a new layer (Layer 1).

4. In the Layers control menu, create a new layer (Layer 1).
5. If layer 0 is not already selected, select it (in the box on the right).
6. If you want some parts of the image to be transparent, you must delete them. You can do this with the "Lasso" tool or the "Magic Wand" tool.
7. Once you have removed the selected parts, delete them using the "Delete" button. This way, we will know that the background will be visible when this window appears.
8. Once you have finished selecting the parts you want to make transparent, save the file in PNG format: File / Save As / ... and select PNG (*.PNG) as the final format.
9. You can now upload your file to Tostadora.fr and personalize your t-shirt!
